Website Ideas Many People Never Consider

There are a lot of website ideas, and many of them are overdone. People write content sites with Google ads to make money from blogs and informational websites. Some people sell products or services, or have a website full of affiliate links. But there are some website ideas that are not tapped into quite as much, but can still be viable sources of income.

Not for Profit Websites

Non profit websites include websites that are designed to accumulate money for a specific cause. These websites are not allowed to make a profit. However, you are not expected to work for free. You can collect donations to a cause, and at the end of the week or month pay yourself a reasonable sum for your efforts. You will be doing the world a service, and you will also be earning a modest income. The important thing to remember about non profit websites is that you must follow through on what you advertise. If you are taking donations for Harvesters, that money, minus your operating expenses, must go to Harvesters. You have to keep meticulous records of this income and expense, otherwise you could face fraud charges.

Review Websites

You can easily start a website that contains reviews of products in a certain niche market. Choose products that are in high demand and that you can become an affiliate with the parent company. You can use genuine, honest, unbiased reviews to drive traffic to your site, where they will find the opportunity to buy the product they are reviewing. The key to review websites is to not target the product as the keyword, but to target keywords that are related to the product that people might search for if they are in need of it. For example, if you are reviewing a product that counteracts hair loss, you would target hair loss as your keyword, not the brand name of the product.

Reverse Work for Hire Boards

You see them all over the internet. Websites offer a place for people to post their outsourced work, and service providers can bid on the projects. This is just the opposite. Instead of people posting work, service providers post what types of work they are looking for and what prices they are willing to accept for that work. You can make money by charging service buyers a monthly fee or a commission on work that they provide to the service providers.

Become a Web Concierge

Do you have hours to spend on the internet? Most people don't, and that is where this website idea comes into play. If someone needs information, they pay you to find it. If someone needs tickets to an event, they pay you to locate and purchase the tickets and have them waiting for them at the event. Whatever people need done online, they pay you to do it in their stead. You can make money by charging one time fees for the service provided at the time, or monthly subscription fees.
